Laminate Flooring

Laminate is a synthetic flooring-product made by fusing multiple layers (usually melamine, resin, and fiberboard) through a lamination process (a process that uses heat and high-pressure to fuse the materials, resulting in a solid piece of flooring). Laminate mimics the look and feel of solid hardwood flooring by using a visual "picture" layer and a matching-textured topcoat. You can also find tile and stone-look laminate.

Opt for a Scratch Resistant Solution

Do you have kids? Do you own a pet? Are you an active person (family)? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then laminate flooring is perfect for you!

Laminate is nearly scratch resistant, and there are tons of waterproof options out there, so it's oftentimes a no-brainer to have laminate installed in your home! Even "non-waterproof" laminate is somewhat water-resistant, as it will withstand normal splashes and spills if they're tended to promptly.

There are endless possibilities to find the look you're wanting! You can find laminate that looks like wood, stone, or tile, and with the advancement in flooring technology, sometimes it's difficult to even know that it's laminate.

Why Should You Laminate?

  • Laminate flooring is extremely budget-friendly, and in some cases can cost 50% less than real hardwoods! There is a product to fit any budget! The cost can vary greatly, as low as $2 per sq ft up to $7 per sq ft for herringbone/diagonal patterns!

  • Laminate is very versatile. Most laminates are designed to look like hardwood, and some are so good that it's difficult to tell whether it's real or not. You can also find a laminate that looks like tile and stone.

  • Laminate is quick and easy to install. In some cases, it can be installed over existing flooring, (except broadloom carpet). It's the go-to choice for DIYers.

  • Laminate is great for pet owners and those with kids because of its resistance to stains and scratches. It's easy to clean up after accidents without using harsh chemicals or special products.

  • Laminate is extremely durable. It can last upwards of 25 years. It will never need to be refinished like hardwoods, which will need to be refinished every 5-10 years. Laminate can withstand most spills and splashes as it is
